Firefighters help stabilise teetering car

FIREFIGHTERS have helped stabilise a car teetering over an eight-foot high bank.
Emergency services were called to Castlegate, in Pickering, at about 4pm yesterday after a car swerved to avoid another and mounted the verge, becoming stranded on a bank.
The occupants had managed to get out of the vehicle, which was brought to safety using stabilisers and a winch.
