James Brabbs charged with murder of Mohammed Saleem Khan

A MAN has appeared in court in connection with the killing of a delivery driver who was stabbed in the neck in Easingwold.

James Brabbs, 26, is charged with the murder of Mohammed Saleem Khan, who was found by an off-duty police officer slumped behind the wheel of his van. Mr Khan, 37, of Luton, Beds, had been delivering shower parts last Saturday when he was attacked.

Brabbs, who is from the Easingwold area, but currently of no fixed abode, appeared via video link at Teesside Crown Court from Holme House Prison, near Stockton, where he is currently being held.

The charge was not put to him during the administrative hearing and he was remanded in custody by Judge Simon Bourne-Arton.

He will reappear at Teesside Crown Court for a plea and directions hearing on December 17.
