Bike route extension welcomed

PLANS to extend the long distance Moor to Sea Cycle Route have been welcomed by Pickering Town Council.

The plans have been put forward by North Yorkshire County Council and include a cross moors route linking Easby to Dalby Forest .

The town council felt it would encourage more cycling by visitors staying in Rosedale, attract cyclists from Teesside to ride in the National Park for overnight tours, extend cycling opportunities for residents and help people’s fitness.
