MALTON Community Sports Centre has launched a new netball club.

The club is open to girls in school Years 7 to 11 and runs every Tuesday, 6.30pm-8pm.

Running across term-time, sessions will include coaching, player and team development, matches and a competition.

Community sport manager Jay Rowley said: “We have two very experienced England netball level two qualified coaches, Tricia Martin and Ali Sellars, leading the sessions.

“We hope to enter teams in the York leagues at Under 12, 14 and 16 should we have enough interest.”

Grant funding has been provided by Sportivate and sessions are available at £3 per week or £25 for the 10-week term.

Places are limited and anyone wanting a place is advised to pre-book. For details, and to book, phone the sports centre on 01653 605365.
