Country welcome for Archbishop of York

ANNE Macintosh, the MP for Thirsk, Malton and Filey, is set to welcome the Archbishop of York to a prayer meeting and celebration of the countryside.
Dr John Sentamu will attend the event, at Easingwold Church, on Saturday, September 29, starting at 10.30am.
Miss McIntosh said: “I am delighted to welcome the archbishop to Easingwold and we are very grateful to Dr Sentamu for visiting us.
“The Church plays a huge part in the life of rural areas and I think it is important that this role is recognised and celebrated.”
