LANGTON Primary School will be hosting its second community produce show on Saturday.
The show has been organised by the headteacher, Louise Partridge, the chairman of the governing body and parents.
Mrs Partridge said the school had decided that putting on a village show would be a good way to bring the school community together, as well as giving the children a chance to show off their hard work.
“Last year was the first time that the show had been held and it was well supported by families from the school and by people from the local villages,” she said.
“Children who attend the school’s gardening club showed various vegetables, and art work was also entered by the pupils.”
This year the categories include best vegetable or fruit, best garden flower arrangement, vegetable people or animals, a miniature garden in a shoe box and children’s paintings and scarecrows.
Mrs Partridge said the school hoped that this year they would have more entries and welcomed anyone to come on the afternoon between 2pm-4pm.
“As well as the show entries, there will be games, a cake stall, plant stall, tombola, raffle and a bouncy castle.
“Let’s hope the sun shines,” she added.
