Witness appeal after woman is assaulted

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a woman was assaulted in Malton at about 5.15pm last Wednesday.
The incident started in Wheelgate when a man assaulted the woman, knocking her into the road, before he continued towards Castlegate and into Wells Lane.
Drivers and pedestrians were passing at the time and witnesses are asked to contact PC Thwaites on 101.
