Sailing into Yacht Club sponsor deal

MALTON-based insurance broker McClarrons Ltd and Scarborough Yacht Club have announced a new partnership agreement which will result in McClarrons becoming the main club sponsor until July 2015.
The club is an established Royal Yachting Association training centre and has a considerable cruising and racing fleet of more than 60 boats.
Nick Taylor, the club commodore, said that with the wall of Scarborough harbour recently reinforced, the harbour could now be used for year-round sailing and has become very popular with visiting yachts.
Sean McClarron, managing director of McClarrons, said: “We are delighted to be working with the yacht club over the coming three years. The development plan at Scarborough Yacht Club is very impressive and after the success of our British sailors at the recent Olympics, it is great to see the plans to encourage younger sailors and cadets.”
