New classes at Ryedale leisure centre

KEEPING fit is taking on another dimension at the Northern Ryedale Leisure Centre in Pickering with the introduction of new equipment and classes.

The centre is starting spinning classes with new indoor cycling bikes which aim to recreate the feel of a racing bike.

Classes will complement the new Kettlebell and Boxercise sessions, as well as the ultimate fitness challenge – Boot Camp – which includes climbing and flipping tractor tyres.

Manager Richard Wellington said they were aiming to provide something for all levels of fitness.

“Our aim is to change the ethos and culture at the centre by introducing new things,” he said.

“We have been listening to what people would like to see here and we hope they will now come along and see for themselves as well as having a go.”
