Photographers are being invited to enter a competition to highlight Ryedale’s people and places.

Beck Isle Museum in Pickering has launched the competition which will run until the end of August.

Manager Rodge Dowson said all images would go on display at the museum with members of the public invited to vote for their favourite during September.

All entries should be A4, black and white or colour, and mounted.

The photos should have been taken in Ryedale through 2011 to 2012 and prizes will be awarded to first, second and third.

Entries should be left at the museum with the photographer’s name, contact details and the photo’s title on the back.
