TOWN crier David Jackson had plenty to shout about when he declared the Age UK shop in Malton open for business once more.

The shop in Wheelgate, has undergone a refurbishment as part of a nationwide update of the charity’s outlets.

Manager Julie Marwood said the shop was always very busy and raised crucial funds for Age UK which supports older people.

She said: “We have a lot of loyal, local customers and are looking forward to welcoming them back to the shop.

“Donations of clothes, bric-a-brac and other items are always welcome and we would also love to hear from anyone who has a few hours to spare and could volunteer at the shop.”
