A FUNDRAISING drive which has raised thousands of pounds for charity has been given a further boost.

To date the Goodys group, which has salons across Ryedale plus The Academy, based in Norton, has raised more than £55,000 for St Catherine’s Hospice as well as cancer charities.

This spring, staff set a target of raising £1,000, collecting £250 for the hospice through an Easter Egg challenge, along with about £750 through sponsorship for the Race for Life.

Owner Lindsay Burr said: “St Catherine’s Hospice continues to be the chosen charity for the Goodys salons.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers for their support not only this year but every year.”
