Actor Hugh Dennis opens attraction at Sutton Bank National Park Centre

TELEVISION actor Hugh Dennis took a trip to North Yorkshire to open a new visitor attraction at Sutton Bank National Park Centre, near Thirsk.
The star of the BBC’s improvised family comedy Outnumbered had dropped in to the centre earlier this year when filming his latest project, the Great British Countryside series, which saw him fly over the National Park in a glider.
The new centre will tell the story of the formation of Sutton Bank’s landscape from the Ice Age to the present day through interactive graphics and touchscreen technology. Visitors will also be able to access a new iPhone app which will guide them around the local area.
Hugh said: “The fact that our lives are still affected by events that happened millions of years ago continues to interest and intrigue me. Sutton Bank is one of the most impressive features of Yorkshire’s landscape and has a fascinating tale to tell.
“This new attraction will, I’m sure, provide a whole new level of enjoyment and understanding for people who visit.”
