FIVE people have been arrested following a vandalism attack which damaged ancient stonework at Scarborough Castle.
An 18-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday morning followed by the arrest of four more males, aged 14, 17 and two aged 15, later that evening.
The attacks, earlier this month, saw extensive damage to Roman stonework at the castle. Metal post caps and sign posts were also damaged. All five were released on police bail.
