RESIDENTS in the Scarborough area have been urged to make sure their homes are secure following a spate of burglaries.
Within the last month, burglaries have taken place in Scalby, Burniston, Newby and Cloughton as thieves made off with a bike, cash, jewellery and a handbag Officers have urged residents to be vigilant and ensure that all windows and doors are kept locked even when at home or out in the garden.
