THE arrival of quicker internet connections in a North Yorkshire town has been welcomed by its MP.
New super-fast broadband links in Thirsk will benefit almost 5,000 residents and businesses in the town. Thirsk and Malton MP Anne McIntosh said: “Having access to fast broadband is vital to rural areas, enabling businesses to be competitive and allowing people to enjoy the benefits open to others in better-connected regions. It is also extremely important that farmers have access to high-speed broadband as it is now a Government requirement that they can conduct their business online.”
