Fresh appeal to trace murder victim's laptop

POLICE in North Yorkshire have issued a fresh appeal to help trace a laptop and laptop bag belonging to Whitby murder victim Julie Davison.
Officers investigating her murder on Wednesday, April 25, are urging residents in the Leeds area to contact them if they have been offered a silver and black Toshiba laptop for sale since April 26.
The laptop is described as a Toshiba C660/C660D. It is silver on the outside with a Toshiba logo across the centre and black inside. The laptop bag is a Texet make in black with thin white piping on the front.
Anyone who has been offered a Toshiba laptop or a similar laptop bag or believes they have bought or acquired the computer without knowing its origins, is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101 or pass information anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
James Allen, of Lothian Road, Middlesbrough, has been charged with murdering Ms Davison, 50, of Church Square, Whitby, and Colin Dunford, 81, of Leven Street, Middlesbrough.
He has been remanded in custody and will appear at Teesside Crown Court on July 6.
