PRESENT staff and pupils joined former colleagues and students for a special party to celebrate Norton Community Primary School’s centenary.
The event included a fire performer, magician, games, disco and hog roast. There was also a display of photographs and a timeline of events around the school.
Headteacher Liz Parker said: “I would like to thank everyone who gave up their time to share Norton Community Primary’s centenary party.
It was lovely to see so many old staff reminiscing with all the current staff.”
Mrs Parker said the parents and children had been fascinated by the history of the school.
“Everyone had a fantastic time and thanks goes to Fletcher’s Butchers, Asda, Mrs Hudson, the face painter and all the current staff for making the afternoon such a success,” she said.
“The display will stay up for another week if anyone missed it and would like to see the timeline.
