Norton Primary pupils prepare for the party
A SPECIAL birthday party is being held at Norton Community Primary School on Friday.
The school is celebrating its centenary and members of the local community are invited to join the pupils and staff to mark the occasion.
There will be a display of photographs and a timeline of events around the school.
The party, from 4pm-6pm, will include a disco, bouncy castles, fire performer, walkabout magician and games.
Headteacher Liz Parker said everyone at the school would like to thank Pauline Calvert for all her hard work and dedication in making the event possible.
“All the staff and I are honoured and privileged to be a part of this historic moment in Norton,” she said.
“I feel extremely fortunate to be the head of this school celebrating our centenary and would like to continue the good work of my predecessors. I hope to continue, with my dedicated staff, to lay down the foundations for the next 100 years.”
