Tips for visitors to Antiques Roadshow in Scarborough

THE BBC has issued a list of advice for people keen to attend The Antiques Roadshow as it prepares to return to North Yorkshire.

Fiona Bruce and the team of experts will be at Scarborough’s The Spa on May 3, nine years after its last visit to the venue.

The list includes:

• Come prepared for the weather and wear comfy shoes

• Doors open at 9.30am but It’s often quieter after 2pm and everyone in the main queue at 4.30pm will be seen

• Don’t bring a whole teaset - a saucer or cup is enough

• For large or heavy items, contact the Roadshow in advance with their details at Antiques Roadshow, BBC, Whiteladies Road, Bristol BS8 2LR or e-mail them at antiques.roadshow@bbc.co.uk

• You don’t need to have an item for valuation if you come after 4.30pm. Filming continues until 7pm
