CHILDREN are invited to take part in a range of half-term events on the North York Moors, celebrating the start of spring at The Moors National Park Centre in Danby.
All next week, families can pick up a map, magnifying glass and quiz sheet to explore the centre’s grounds for the signs, smells and sounds of spring.
On Monday, children can find out more about the materials birds use to make their nests before making their own nests and decorated eggs to take home.
Craft activities are on offer on Tuesday and next Friday children can plant sunflower seeds in decorated recycled flower pots and make cakes and feeders for the birds.
All the events cost £2.50 and booking is required. For more information and to book a place, phone 01439 772738.
