THE Forestry Commission is lifting the normal £4 winter toll in Dalby Forest on February 15 as an added incentive to explore the North York Moors beauty spot.
Every year, Dalby attracts nearly 400,000 visitors and is rated as a top mountain bike venue as well as a prime spot for wildlife watching and rambling.
Alan Eves, forest management director, said: “Whether it’s walking, biking, horse riding, nature watching or unearthing the woodland’s fascinating past, this is a great chance to experience a rustic wonderland. All our trails are open and with the mild weather we expect nature to stir early this year.”
