Arson attack probe after Sheriff Hutton barn fire

FIREFIGHTERS spent almost five hours battling a fire in a hay barn in Sheriff Hutton.
The barn, which contained 300 tonnes of hay, was severely damaged in the blaze, believed to have been caused by arsonists, a fire service spokesman said.
Crews were called to the farm in Sutton Road minutes before midnight on Tuesday and stayed until 4.34am yesterday.
