THREE property businesses in Filey have gone into administration.
Hunter Kelly and John Sumpton from Ernst & Young have been appointed as joint administrators to Bluesight Limited, Hirondelle Wines Limited and Wold Investments Limited, all based at the 5 Leys self-catering holiday apartments development.
Also included in the Group is 70-bed student accommodation development in Sheffield and residential properties in Driffield, Scarborough and Lincoln.
Hunter Kelly, restructuring partner at Ernst & Young in Leeds said: “Unfortunately, like many businesses in the property sector, the group has suffered recent financial difficulties and cash flow problems. 5 Leys occupies a prime position on Filey seafront and is profitable in its own right with significant potential. There have already been a number of expressions of interest and we are hopeful that the business will be sold as a going concern. 5 Leys is continuing to trade as normal and no redundancies have been made.”
