A CAMPAIGN to protect historic buildings has listed a number of York and North Yorkshire properties in its latest report.

SAVE Britain’s Heritage was formed by a group of architects, planners and journalists in 1975, to conserve and protect historic buildings at risk in England.

The group’s 22nd annual Buildings At Risk catalogue is published today, and features dozens of buildings in various states of repair.

Buildings mentioned in York include the Grade II-listed working men’s club in Lawrence Street, formerly an 18th-century house, and Clementhorpe Maltings in Lower Darnborough Street. In North Yorkshire, the Grade II-listed Trenholme Farm, near Northallerton, and the 19th-century Bramham House are listed.
