WISE owls knew the best place for country folk and country lovers to be this weekend – at the Pickering Game And Country Fair.
The annual two-day event at the Pickering Showground featured the UK Tractor Show, which gave the mechanically minded a chance to examine hundreds of tractors.
The fair included displays and demonstrations of many country skills and activities such as archery, clay shooting, sheep-shearing, flycasting, chainsaw carving and rural crafts and featured birds of prey including owls, a gundog scurry, a parade of hounds, ferret racing, heavy horses and rare breed exhibitions.
