MALTON library is holding a number of events to celebrate Easter.

On Tuesday, April 12 there will be an Easter Bunnies event with volunteers from Bunny Burrows rabbit rescue centre in Richmond.

They will give a short talk on rabbit and guinea pig welfare and there will be the opportunity to ask questions and hold an animal.

The bunny event will take place 2.30pm-3.30pm and free tickets are available from the library.

The library is also holding an Easter promotion for junior borrowers who will get a bar of chocolate when they borrow five books over the holidays.

All youngsters are welcome to join the library to take part.

Children will also be given the opportunity to write a short book review on one of the books they have borrowed and these will be put on display in the library.
