More snow on the way for North Yorkshire

SNOW is expected to return to York and North and East Yorkshire tomorrow with freezing temperatures likely to cause hazardous driving conditions all week.

Forecasters are predicting light snow showers this evening, which are expected to continue through into tomorrow.

Night-time temperatures will remain below freezing until at least the weekend. This will be tempered, though, by sunny spells throughout the week and day-time temperatures staying at about 5C.

Weathermen have also predicted that the cold weather will continue through next week, with further, heavier falls of snow possible.
