A RYEDALE teenager has thanked all who donated after he raised £1,150 for the Ryedale Special Families (RSF) by undertaking a gaming marathon - playing video games for 24 hours straight.
Charlie Ridgewell, 19, of Kirby Misperton, decided to fundraise for RSF following the many years of support they offered his family, and described them as priceless.
“I think that since they have given so much well-needed assistance that it was time to give something back,” he said.
RSF was set up in the early 1990s by a group of parents. It has since grown and is now fundraising for its £100,000 “Get A Move On” campaign to fund a new headquarters.
