Reader's letter
IN the current edition of the Strensall Liberal Democrat newsletter Focus, we have informed residents of a water pipe repair which would have closed the bridge on Haxby Moor Road from August 13 for a week.
On Friday, Yorkshire Water informed us that, due to a clerical error, City of York had refused their request to close the road, so the repair has had to be postponed.
It will now be rescheduled for the October half-term holiday from October 29 to November 2.
We apologise for publishing the wrong information, but circumstances changed which were not under our control after the leaflets went out.
