A LOCAL group for dads, grandads and carers is planning to put on baby and child first aid classes for parents.
With the aid of ward funding,
Yorkey Dads, which supports dads
in York, will host free sessions for local residents from August.
The classes will be run by Mini First Aid, a nationwide network of trainers, and will cover a range of conditions, including CPR, choking, febrile seizures, meningitis, bumps, bleeds, breaks and burns.
Yorkey Dads formed on Facebook in 2015 to offer a support network as well as a social outlet for fathers,
and now has almost 500 members.
The first class is on August 14 at Clifton Moor Church on a booking-only basis. To book a place email yorkeydads@yahoo.com
