Crews tackle fire in stubble field in Norton Picture: @RyesSpecials
FIREFIGHTERS have tackled a fire in a stubble field in Ryedale.
Crews from Malton, Sherburn, Knaresborough and York were called to the fire in Norton, at about 5.20pm on Sunday.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said the fire was to a combine harvester which then spread to a stubble field and straw on the ground.
Crews used five hose reels, beaters, and an all terrain appliance from Kirkbymoorside to put out the blaze.
