ANIMAL lovers are being urged to make Malton the UK’s most Dog Friendly Town.
The town is bidding to take the 2018 crown from existing title holders, Melton Mowbray.
Many of the town’s businesses are already dog friendly with the Talbot Hotel welcoming canine guests with in-room extras. Events are also held to support Ryedale Dog Rescue, including Malton Cookery School, which is hosting a Doggy Dinner day course on July 28.
Angela Egan, a volunteer with RDR said: “There is a massive sense of commitment to the canine community in Malton. It has almost become obligatory to have a dog friendly policy, so we’re encouraging people to vote and make our pro-puppy stance award-winning.”
