Two large sheds were destroyed in a fire in Malton this morning.
Firefighters were called to the blaze at the allotments near Broughton Road, in Malton, at 8.30am.
Crews from Pickering and York were also assigned due to number of repeat calls.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Fire and Resuce, said: "Crews from Malton, Pickering and York have dealt with a large fire on an allotment site involving two large sheds measuring approx. 10m by 10m. Both sheds and all contents were destroyed. Fire spread to an adjacent trailer tent which was totally destroyed. Fire then spread to a third shed and caused slight fire damage to external panels. Crews used two hosereels, pitchforks and hand tools. The cause is believed to be sun light refracted inside the shed."
