HORSE riders will be setting off on an annual ride for charity this weekend.

The parkland and woods of Helmsley’s Duncombe Park will be the setting for the ride on Saturday, to raise funds for Ryedale Special Families. The ride has been organised by Ride Yorkshire and follows on from a successful event held here in 2017.

Janet Cochrane, director of Ride Yorkshire, said: “We’re delighted that the Duncombe family are allowing us to use their meadows and woodland tracks. It’s a great privilege for people to be able to take their horses off-road.”
