AUTHENTIC Motown sounds come to the Milton Rooms on Friday, July 13 courtesy of top London band ‘Motown Gold’.
Merryn Wilderspin, current Chair of the Milton Rooms, said “Dance is what our main hall was built for and it’s great to see us hosting such high quality events again and which complement our already popular vintage dance nights.”
In addition, July offers the opportunity to get up close and personal with sounds of the Rainforest when Sue Hart of ‘Baka Beyond!’ who hosts a Rainforest singing workshop on July 7 10.30am-3.30pm.
Ryedale Blues Club rounds off the month with old school rhythm and blues courtesy of York’s ‘Turnpike Trust’ who play sounds by the likes of Dr Feelgood, Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan.
