AN ANTI-FRACKING protestor has been cleared of obstructing Habton Road near Kirby Misperton on October 27.
But three more anti-fracking protestors were convicted of the same offence.
All four denied the charge and were tried together at York Magistrates Court.
Joel Michael Instone, 28, of Greenhill Road, Bury, was acquitted.
Leilah Janine Botham, 40, of Wykeham Crescent, Oxford, and Rosalyn Massey, 42, of a protestors’ camp on Springs Road, Misson near Doncaster, were both convicted of obstructing Habton Road.
Both were given 12-month conditional discharges and each was ordered to pay £200 prosecution costs and a £20 statutory surcharge.
Christopher Stuart Wilson, 56, of a protestors’ camp on Preston New Road, Little Plumpton, Lancashire, was also convicted and his case was adjourned.
