LOCAL residents are invited to attend the AGM of Pickering Memorial Hall on Thursday, June 21, at 7.30pm .

Mal Danks, secretary to the trustee, said: “We do hope that as many people as possible will join us as the Hall, unlike most community halls, actually belongs to the people of Pickering and is such a wonderful local resource which needs to be used and enjoyed by as many different groups and individuals as possible.

“We really need as much local input and as many different opinions as possible so that we can continue to keep up to date and to meet local needs.

“We are always happy for new volunteers and we are currently looking for new trustees. This is not an arduous task and only requires attendance at six meetings per year, usually at the home of the secretary and always with home made cakes and beverages. Anyone who would like to join us will be made very welcome.”

Anyone interested in taking part in any events, becoming a trustee or in supporting the Hall in any way, should call in or contact the Hall any weekday morning between 9am and noon, 01751 477522 or phone Mal Danks, secretary to the trustees, on 01751 477913.
