POTENTIAL volunteers, charities, community groups and social enterprises are being invited to a free event to find out how to secure funding and volunteers.
Community First Yorkshire is hosting a free funding and volunteering fair on Thursday, June 7, in Malton, supported by Ryedale District Council. It will showcase the range of funding and volunteering opportunities on offer to organisations and individuals across Ryedale.
There will also be an opportunity to speak with different funders and find volunteers, while giving local people interested in volunteering a friendly way of discussing what roles might be suitable for them. It also links with Volunteers Week which celebrates the power of volunteering to bring people and communities together.
Maggie Farey at Community First Yorkshire, said: “We hope many people and organisations take advantage of this free opportunity to make successful matches with funders and volunteers face-to-face."
It will take place at the Milton Rooms on Thursday, June 7, from 11am to 4pm.
