Malton opticians sets sights on fundraising coffee and cake sale
A MALTON opticians has set its sights on raising funds and awareness for Alzheimer’s Society with a charity coffee and cake sale.
Scrivens Opticians & Hearing Care will hold the event on Friday to mark Dementia Action Week (May 21-27).
Branch manager Emma Humphreys said: “It’s a cause we care about because dementia affects the lives of so many people in our community.
“There is a real need for continued research and support, so any donations will be gratefully received.”
Scrivens is supporting Alzheimer’s Society for a fourth successive year. It was chosen because of the growing evidence of a link between uncorrected hearing loss and dementia, including Alzheimer’s.
