REFUNDS are available to ticketholders after The Overtones cancelled their North Yorkshire show this summer.
Following the recent death of band member Timmy Mately, the band has understandably its 2018 summer tour, including the date at Scarborough Spa on Saturday, July 14.
A statement issued from the band said: "Not only do we feel that we need some time to process the loss of our friend, brother and band mate, we also want to take some time to re-group and come back later on this year with new music and more live dates.
"This is absolutely not the end of The Overtones, we just want to make sure everything we do next is a celebration of love, friendship and good times that will both comfort and uplift you, not only as a tribute to our dear friend Timmy, but also as a tribute to the amazing eight years we spent together as a band and the memories we have made and shared with you all.
"We’ve been extremely comforted and encouraged by the amazing support we have received over the last couple of weeks and we look forward to showing our appreciation with what comes next."
A spokesman for the venue said customers will be contacted this week to process full refunds, but the box office is also available on 01723 821888.
