THE A64 at Malton has been re-opened this afternoon after it was closed due to blocks of concrete on the carriageway.
Highways England had tweeted that the road was closed westbound due to a collision and an overturned trailer.
Two 10-foot concrete blocks fell onto the carriageway and the police arranged a fork lift to help move them, they added.
However, they said at around 4.15pm that the road had been re-opened.
@NYorksPolice have cleared the concrete blocks from the carriageway and #A64 westbound is now fully open between the #A169 and B1248 nr #Norton-on-Derwent. No delays remaining in the area.

Bus service Coastliner said that delays were inevitable due to long tailbacks from the closure.
