THERE is lots going on at the Milton Rooms in Malton this month.

On Friday, April 20, the highly respected Paines Plough in collaboration with Tamasha theatre company will be staging a brand new debut play ‘I wanna be yours’, a tender, funny, lyrical play about finding love and holding onto it with everything you’ve got.

The monthly Ryedale Blues Club night on April 26 is gaining a highly rated reputation amongst Blues fans and this month features supremo slide guitarist Paul Judge with his band ‘The Jackals’ for another top night of good time blues.

If you love a bit of witty-ditty, song-and-snigger then you’ll find it a-plenty at The Milton Rooms on April 27 when no other than Richard Digance graces the stage with his trademark humorous rhymes as he reaches the Milton Rooms on the latest leg of his ‘Not bad for his age’ tour.

With a BAFTA Nomination as TV Entertainer Of The Year and Gold Award recipient from The British Academy of Composers, he’s completed 4,000 live shows.

Ending the month, local theatre company Claptrap presents ‘Blindfold’ by Bafta-nominated writer Tom Needham and which tells the story of two boyhood friends who went to fight for their country in 1914.
