THE Woodhams Stone Collection is offering an opportunity to hear more about its work at its annual general meeting tomorrow (Thursday).

The meeting will feature an update from honorary curator Sarah Maultby on the next stage of the collection’s progress towards finding a permanent home in Norton and a small display of items from the collection.

The meeting will be held at Community House, Wentworth Street, Malton, at 7pm.

Di Keal, chairman of the trustees, said: “The Woodhams Stone trustees are currently making exciting plans for the future of the collection.

“We are looking for new people to join our trustee board to help us take the project forward.

“Everyone who comes into contact with Woodhams Stone is fascinated by the breadth and range of items we hold and we need more trustees and volunteers to help us run things like exhibitions and open days to ensure that even more people have access to the collection.

“Anyone who wants to know more is very welcome to come along to the AGM and find out more.”
