POLICE are appealing for help after a man allegedly posted a threatening message to the new tenants of a pub in Scarborough.
The same person also allegedly threw a bottle and a glass outside the same premises, North Yorkshire Police said.
The incident happened between 2.10am and 2.20am on March 2 outside of the Shakespeare pub in St Helens Square, Scarborough.
The male was wearing an orange or red hat, black clothing and carrying a rucksack on his back at the time, and was seen walking away towards Friargate following the incident, the force added.
A spokesman for the force said: "We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
"In particular, we are appealing for anyone with CCTV which may cover outside a premises in the area of the public house, or from anyone with dash cam footage which may have recorded images in the area."
