TOURISM and hospitality will be the focus of a networking event at Eden Camp museum in Malton tomorrow.
Representatives of tourist attractions and holiday providers will descend on the museum to swap information about events over the coming year.
The modern history museum will be hosting the event on Tuesday, March 13 which will bring together over 40 of the area’s leading tourist attractions and over 200 tourist and holiday accommodation providers.
Nick Hill, museum manager said: "In partnership with a number of local and regional tourist organisations and bodies, we have hosted this event for over 20 years.
"Over 500 invites have been sent out to holiday accommodation providers in the North and East Yorkshire area, who have the opportunity to collect promotional literature and information from the attractions that will be attending.
"There are very few other areas or regions in the UK that can offer tourists and holiday makers the quality and diversity of attractions and things to do that North Yorkshire can.
"From an economic point of view, tourism is very important to our area.
"We want first-time visitors to go away and tell family and friends about what we have to offer - but we also want to show those that may have visited before that, no matter how many time they return, there is always something new and exciting for them to see and do in North Yorkshire."
If any holiday accommodation provider in the area would like to attend the event, but have not yet received an invite, they should contact Eden Camp by phone on 01653 697777 or e-mail admin@edencamp.co.uk.
