TWO people have been rescued after being stranded in the snow.
The call came in to North Yorkshire Police at 6pm last night, who in turn alerted Scarborough & Ryedale Mountain Rescue Team (SRMRT).
The two people were stuck in their car in the Keys Beck Road area of Stape in the North York Moors.
An SRMRT report said: "After establishing their exact position with SARloc, we deployed team members in two of our team 4x4 vehicles to recover the vehicle to a clear road, and then escorted it safely back to Pickering."
They added that seven team members were deployed for two-and-a-half hours.
SARloc is a smartphone app designed to help in the location of lost climbers, walkers, or people who are stranded.
