THE owners of a young dachshund which went missing last weekend have organised a search.
Piper, a chocolate-coloured, smooth-coated miniature dachshund ran away at 5pm on Saturday, February 24 at High Gaterley Farm, on the Castle Howard Estate.
Her owner said: "She is very timid, she was only rehomed from Lockton the same day she went missing, she doesn’t like cars and is wearing a yellow collar.
"Piper is 4-years-old, she was only spayed a couple of weeks ago."
They added that the dog is registered on the 'Doglost' service and that Petlog have been informed of her disappearance.
Piper's new owner, and her former owners, are now both seeking help to find Piper amid the current snowy conditions.
A search is organised for Saturday (tomorrow).
