A TRAILER and a large amount of fuel has been stolen from a lock-up in the Nawton-Beadlam area.
In an appeal through the community messaging system, police said that the theft took place at some time between 5pm on Friday, February 16 and 5pm the next day.
A silver Ifor Williams tipping trailer and approximately 800 litres of red diesel were stolen.
Red diesel is dyed oil used as a fuel for certain registered agricultural or construction vehicles such as tractors.
Police urged people to take extra care securing lock-ups.
They added: "Should you have any information of the incident please contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, reference 12180028242."
