JOBSEEKERS and employers are being invited to a jobs and careers fair, which is taking place in Malton next month.

The fair will be hosted by Thirsk and Malton MP Kevin Hollinrake from 11am on Friday, March 2, at the Milton Rooms in Malton.

It follows on from the success of last year’s event, held in November.

The aim of the event is to invite employers to promote their companies and any available job opportunities they have.

It also provides an opportunity for networking with other employers in the area, as well as training providers and agencies.

People seeking employment are invited to come along and see what is on offer.

Last year 34 companies took part and Mr Hollinrake is expecting a similar turn-out this year.

Mr Hollinrake said: “This is a win-win situation. It provides employers with an opportunity to fill any job vacancies and to find out more about local training support and it means jobseekers can meet potential employers face-to-face.”

Places are filling up fast, so if you are an employer and would like to take part, please write to Heather Millard at heather.millard@dwp.gsi.gov.uk
